Call was a Corporal from South Carolina, and fought for the Confederacy in the 3rd Battalion of South Carolina, also known as the Palmetto Battalion. This letter was sent from Brewton Station, in Southern Alabama, and discusses morale, the food eaten by the soldiers, ad well as a series of poems Call wrote to his wife.
