Biographical or Historical Information
Dr. Mealing of North Augusta, SC, was a veteran of the Korean War and a graduate of the University of Georgia and the Medical University of South Carolina. He worked for E.I. DuPont at the Savannah River Plant as a Health Physicist and later became the Chief Resident at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Cashin of Augusta, GA, attended Marist College in New York and received his Master of Arts degree from Fordham University. He received his Ph.D. in American History from Fordham in 1962. He was a long time professor at Augusta University (then Augusta College) and known as a local historian.
