Daily Evening News
The news paper was published daily April 20- May 11, 1865 in the office of Macon Telegraph while that paper was suspended. These two issues announce the surrender of Lee and his army (25 April and the assassination of Licoln (26 April). There are announcements of regulations by the military to the citizens, and outher news advertisements.

Deutscher Schuetzen Club Minutes
Chronicles the organization's activities, including shooting matches, prizes, awards, correspondence concerning property, election of officers, lists of members. The DS Club was a men's sporting organization oringlly composed of members of Augusta's German commounity. The minutes are in German for the most part. The Schuezen Platz,ownedby the club, was a well known recreation park. 35th annual meating held on feb. 13, 1908 turned from German to English.
