Scope and Contents
This collection is comprised of photographs of Harry V. Mitchell and the Augusta area. They portray the family and Life of Harry V. Mitchell as well as scenes of the Augusta area during the turn of the 20th century. Sites depicted in the collection include Sibley Mill & the Confederate Powerworks Chimney, Broad Street & the Confederate Monument, Sand Bar Ferry, the Savannah River, the Augusta Canal, and Barnes Field (now known as Daniel Field).
