Collection materials include a chronology, names of faculty and staff, the program of  anniversary,  "25 years of Catholic education for the people of the an informal narrative history, memorial tributes, names of committees, "Aquinas remembers 1957-1982."

Content Description

A collection of materials originally belonging to an Augusta College History professor and alumna, Hellen Callahan. The collection comprises of materials related to her academic career, the history of Augusta College/Augusta State University/Augusta University, and the history of the Augusta area. Collection also contains color slides of her research travels in Europe and Asia, and publicity articles/newspaper clippings for Dr. Callahan and Augusta College.

This collection contains histories, event progams, general ephemera, and other materials written or submitted by 32 individual churches in the Augusta area.  A variety of Protestant churches, Catholic churches, and Jewish synagogues are represented.

Scope and Contents The Augusta Richmond County Historical Society has a large amount of ephemeral material related to the history of the local area of Augusta and the Central Savannah River Area. The Local history vertical files collection contains information on a range of local organizations, families, and individuals.
