The Richmond County Medical Society Alliance is composed of spouses of Richmond County Medical Society members. This collection includes papers written and presented by members of the Alliance for their “Research in the Romance of Medicine” series; annual reports, newsletters, yearbooks; state and national material; scrapbooks, and photographs and videos.

Bibliography

The Richmond County Medical Society (RCMS) Alliance began in 1925 as the Woman’s Auxiliary to the Richmond County Medical Society. Over the years the name of the organization evolved to its current name and was formally changed in 1993. The primary objective of the RCMS Alliance is to extend through its membership the aims of the medical profession, advance health and health education, and to assist in state, district, and county medical meetings. Membership in the RCMS Alliance is composed of spouses of Richmond County Medical Society members and of those who were members in good standing of another county medical society within the Medical Association of Georgia.
