Biographical / Historical

The D'Antignac School (formerly known as the Augusta Free School) was ran out of an original facility founded in 1917 by the Aygysta Free School as a night school for nontraditional and adult students. After 1- uears. the school was turned over to the Board of Education of Richmond County which then operated a normal public school on the property. By the 1930's, the wooden structure no longer fit the needs of faculty and students, and was demolished to construct a new facility for the school.
