Chateau LeVert - built by George Walker as a Sand Hills Cottage on Bellevue Plantation around 1800 - Octavia Walton LeVert, granddaughter of Walker and George Walton, was born in the house and returned to live there before her death in 1877 - Renovations and additions made during ownership of D.B. Dyer - in 1916, purchased by Kate Flannery Semmes and used as a convent until it was torn down in 1965 - Convent Sisters of Saint Joseph
