Scope and Contents
This collection consists of 1800 19th and 20th century photographs depicting a range of subjects, which include: buildings and scenes of Augusta, Georgia, images of the American Civil War, individuals, and local events. Use and Rights statement: Provenance (where available) is stated in the description for each photograph. The majority of the photographs were added to the collection by the Augusta Richmond County Historical Society and the Reese Library Special Collections & Institutional Archives, which hold the copyright thereto. However, copyright for some photos in the collection is retained by the individual owner of the photograph, or in some cases, by branches of the U.S. Military.
