This collection is comprised of a single volume scrapbook kept by Mary Lois Sibley Eve, consisting of newspaper clippings that document local arts reviews, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and Confederate memorial efforts, with a few entries on child labor and education. Of most interest is a letter on Georgia Department of Education letterhead, written on behalf of Superintendent Duggan regarding the establishment of Georgia Day.

Abstract

This collection is comprised of materials related to the genealogy research William H. Dumont conducted from 1960-1969, on many Georgia families. The materials include correspondence, photocopies of primary sources, research notes, and handwritten family trees. William Henry Dumont (1897-1970),  was a certified genealogist and editor of the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and researched family geneaolgy focused in Georgia and the Carolinas.

Thomas R. Wright papers

Overview

Dr. Thomas R. Wright received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1876. He taught at MCG for 47 years, first as professor of anatomy and later as professor of surgery. He was known as a skillful surgeon. Dr. Wright served as dean of the Medical College of Georgia from 1894-1896.
