Series of photographs depicting the Old Augusta Jail and documentation, the "new" prison on Walton Way, a police heliocopter ca. 1970, a police formation ca. 1950, and a police motercycle squad ca. 1950.

This collection includes news clippings, professional correspondence, subcommittee reports, publications and studies, memos and minutes of meetings, as well as drafts and summaries of charters and amendments. It also includes pamphlets and a button pin. The collection documents the movement from 1968 to 1976 to consolidate Augusta and Richmond County into a single entity, as well as the community reactions to this attempt.

Booklet contains photographs of the divisions of the city of Augusta Police Department.  Other photgraphs include the mayor and the ward commissioners.  Also a great source for local advertisements
