Scope and Contents

S. Joseph Lewis, Jr. Papers is comprised of Lewis’ handwritten research notes for the history of the Medical College of Georgia book; his handwritten manuscript for the book; and two typed drafts of the book. Two folders contain items not saved by Lewis himself, but were retained by former MCG Special Collections Librarians, Dot Mims and Susanna Weaver Joyner. These folders are included in the Lewis Papers for the historical account of the Lewis manuscript of MCG’s history. [MSS016.Box05, folders 23 and 24]
