Biographical / Historical
Founded on August 30, 1785, The Augusta Chronicle is the oldest active newspaper in Georgia and one of the oldest in the United States. Operating out of Augusta, Georgia, the publication has survived centuries of historical milestones, never missing an issue since the 1839 yellow fever epidemic.
This specific booklet was published as a commemorative supplement to the newspaper that served as a calendar and an advertisement for local establishments.
