Contains a transcript of an interview with Johnny Edwards and his Augusta Chronicle Colleagues about his embedded reporter experience, back ground material on Iraqi war reporters’ experience, financial and expenses records and handwritten notes and a draft speech given by Dr. Debra Reddin van Tuyll for a panel discussion. Also included is a clippings file of Johnny Edwards’ reports during the Iraqi war.

Material was transferred to Special Collections Reese Library on August 26, 2010. This material was collection by Dr. Debra Reddin van Tuyll to leave information about the reporting of the Iraqi war for researchers. Dr. van Tuyll expressed that she wished to leave an example of the type of material she wished were more available to her in her work on American Civil War reporting.
Johnny Edwards started at the Augusta Chronicle in 2000 as a night reporter. In 2003, he covered the invasion of Iraq as an embedded reporter with the Augusta-based 319th Transportation Company.
