Biographical or Historical Information

Ida "Jeanie" Benson (1868-1949)  was born in December of 1868 in Georgia, the eldest daughter of Berry Greenwood Benson and Jane (Jeannie) Oliver. She had five siblings: Arthur, Pauline, Olive, Charles, and Dorothy. Jeanie lived in Augusta, GA and North Augusta, SC, during the majority of her life, where she worked as a music teacher. Ida Jeanie Benson died in March of 1949 in South Carolina.
