Scope and Contents
The Arsenal Collection of William Joseph Bignon contains books about World War II and tool making, as well as a dictionary. It also contains a military first aid kit, a masonic cap and case, a photograph, and a large framed piece of art.

Biographical or Historical Information
William Joseph Bignon, born February 4, 1908, served in the US Navy from 1927-1930 and from 1943-1945. He was married from August 18, 1940 until November 22, 1941, when he divorced. He died August 9, 1993, leaving one surviving daughter and several grandchildren. During his lifetime, he was a tool-maker and a member of the John S. Davidson Lodge No. 677, as well as a member of the Lincolnton County Farm Bureau.
