Biographical / Historical
Delta Air Lines, founded in 1925 as the world's first aerial crop-dusting company (Huff Daland Dusters), is a major global carrier headquartered in Atlanta. Renamed Delta Air Service in 1928, it began passenger flights in 1929. Delta began serving Augusta Daniel Field on July 7, 1934, as part of its expanding Atlanta-Charleston route.
