The handwriting of the attorney who produced this document is atrocious so some words in this transcript may be wrong guesses. State of South Carolina, County of Edgefield To Isaac Boles, Sheriff of Edgefield Co You will take notice that you are forbidden to enter upon a certain tract of land in said county containing seven hundred + acres and 3/4 more or less now in possession of John Williams + sold [2wd] at sheriff sale on sale day last. part to John H Hollingsworth + James B. Sullivan either in person or in any [1wd] appointed by you for the purpose of setting apart the Harris Tract to the said John Williamson which he claims in said land. The land was sold to satisfy judgements obtained on obligations made for non payment of the purchase money of said land + the said John Williamson is therefore not entitled to any homestead in said premises T.
