Scope and Contents
SOUTH CAROLINA, Newberry District} IN THE COURT OF EQUITY. The Judges of the said Court send Greeting to all and singular the Sheriffs of the said State. WHEREAS in a certain case in this court for the state and district aforesaid, in which John D. L. Folk was the plaintiff and Jacob Barre and John A Cau[?meron?] defendants, it was decreed that the said Jacob Barre and John A Ca[????] should pay to the said John D. L. Folk the sum of Three hundred and forty six dollars + seventy eight cents which sum of money by the said decree, bears interes from the first day of July eighteen hundred and fifty six until paid; and that they should pay to the said plaintiff for his costs, which (upon taxation) amount to You are, therefore, hereby commanded to levy the said sums of money, costs and interest, of the goods, chattels, lands and tenements of the aforesaid persons, respectively, against whom the same was decreed as aforesaid; and have the same, (together with this writ,) at the court of equity to be holden for the state and district aforesaid, at Newberry court hous, on the third Monday of October next to pay to the persons to whom the same was decreed as aforesaid. Witness James H. Williams Commisioner of said court, for the state and district aforesaid, at Newberry court house, the fifteenth of September eighteen hundred and fifty six and eighty first year of the sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.
