State of Georgia, Richmond County  Bond -- Printed at Daily Press Office, Augusta Ga. Know all Men by these Presents, that I Antoine Picquet of the State and County aforesaid am held and firmly bound unto Josiah Sibley Trustee of Emmeline W. wife of Charles H Sibley in the full and just sum of two thousand and twenty dollars to be paid to the said Josiah Sibley Trustee as aforesaid his Certain Attorney, Executors and Administrators, or Assigns, to which payment, well and truly to be made and done I bind myself and each and every of my Heirs, Executors and Administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with my Seal and dated at Augusta the _____ day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy-three. The Condition of the above Obligation is Such, That whereas the said Antoine Picquet has this day agreed to sell to the said Josiah Sibley Trustee as aforesaid a certain lot piece or parcel of land lying situate and being in said County on the Waters of Butler's Creek taken off the Eastern side of a tract of land belonging to said Antoine Picquet containing three hundred and 88/100 acres bounded on the North East by lands belonging to Walker on the East by lands belonging to said Walker on South Easterly lands belonging to Ward on South West by lands belonging to Estate Gibbs and on the North West by lands belonging to said Antoine Picquet as will more gully appear by a plat hereunto attached made by E.V. Sharp on the eighteenth day of August A.D. 1873 Now therefore the condition of the above bond is such that whereas the said Antoine Picquet has this day agreed to sell to the said Josiah Sibley Trustee as aforesaid the said lot piece or parcel of land in said State and County containing Two-hundred and two 85/605 acres for the sum of one thousand and ten dollars of which said Josiah Sibley Trustee as aforesaid paid to the said Antoine Picquet Five hundred dollars in cash and gave a cerain promissory note of Charles H. Sibley at twelve months from date of these presents for the sum of five hundred and ten dollars with the witness tereon at the rate of ten per cent per annum. Now if the said Antoine Picquet shall convey and assure or couse to be conveyed or assured the above tract of land to the said Josiah Sibley Trustee aforesaid or to such uses and to such persons as he shall appoint or direct, free from mortgage or incumberance, by such conveyance as the said Josiah Sibley Trustee as aforesaid may reasonably demand, upon the payment by said Charles H Sibley of his said promissory note, so given by said Josiah Sibley Trustee aforesaid, as part consideration for the purchase of said tract of land then the above obligation to be void and of none effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
