POWER OF ATTORNEY, For Sale at Cooper's Job Office. Know all Men by these Presents: The We, Philemon Waters, Eleanor C Waters and Hohn P. Waters, of the City and County of Mobile and State of Alabama have constituted, made and appointed , and by these Presents do make, constitute and appoint Francis B. Higgins and Henry Summer of Newberry District in the State of South Carolina, our true and lawful ATTORNEYS for us and in our names, place and stead to ask, demand, sue for, recover and receive of and from the Executor or administrators of the estates of John Summers + Rosanna Summers his wife, late of the said District of Newberry, deceased or in whose hands soever the same may be found, all such legacies or bequests, sums of money, goods chattels, property estate or effects as may ne coming or be due to us or either of us from the estates aforesaid by any means, or an any account whatsoever and upon the receipt thereof proper _ sufficient acquittances, releases or other discharges good in law for the same to make execute and deliver in our name or names, giving and granting unto our said Attorneys full and whole power and authority, in and about the premises; and generally to do and perform all and every act and acts, thing and things, device and diveices. in the law whatsoever needful and necessayr to be done in and about the premises; and for us and in our names to do execute and perform, as largely and amply, to all intents and purposes as we, ourselvles might or could do if we wee personally present; and an Attorney or Attorneys under them for the purpose aforesaid to make and substitute hereby ratifying and confirmin all that our said attorneys or their substitute or substitutes shall lawfully do by virtue thereof. In Witness Whereof, We have hereunto set our Hands and Seals the thirtieth day of November, in the year of our lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty one.
