Textt: Georgia Screven County} By the Court of Justices for the County of Screven to Thomas [?Pe?]ngones [1 wd illegible] or county surveyor for said county you are hereby authorized and required to [1wd illegible] and lay out or cause to be [same 1 wd illegible] and laid out unto William Sowell a tract of land which shall contain five hundred acres in said county or head rights lying on Savannah River and in the iland made by wiremons lake Coled howells iland taken special care that the same has not heretofore been laid out to any other person or persons and you are also hereby [1wd illegible] and required to Record the plat of the same in your office and transmit a copy thereof together with this warrant to the Surveyor General within the term of two years from this writ given under our hands as justices of said court the 5 of August 1828 Signed Ero Sharp Asst Clerk Land Court and by Edward [illegible].
