Scope and Contents
Whereas, W.D. McClure, of Edgefield, South Carolina, has made a new invention known as the Boss Clothes Pin, patented February the nineteenth, A.D. one thousands nine hundred and four; and, whereas, H. S(?torrs or hors?) + wife E. (?torrs or hors?) of the county of Richmond State of Georgia desirous of an interest therein of said Patent in certain territory hereinafter named, for and in cosideration of the sum of Fifteen (15.00) Dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the said w.D. McClure has assigned, sold and set over unto the said (?same illegible names?) the right to manufacture, sell and use the said Boss Clothes Pin, for the full term of the said Patent, in the following territory, to-wit: all that territory lying +being in Richmond County north of Butler Creek running from Burk to the river.
