The Bride's last name may be Samkin rather than Lamkin. The first letter is either an overly ornate L or a malformed S, but as the other letters also show excess ornaments, it is likely an L. It is interesting that the bottom of this marriage license was never filled in by the officiant as though the planned nuptials never actually occurred.
